As many of you will know I create patterns that are sold on products on Spoonflower and this has been a significant part of my art journey.

For most of my patterns I use watercolour and ink sketch rather than gouache for the original sketches. I then scan these and use procreate to turn them into the designs you can buy.

Three of my more recent patterns are below:

Bookish Toile in Rust and Ochre

I hand sketched a number of trees and children sitting in various poses with their pet dog or cat or both underneath them whilst reading to create this toile collection.

Highly suitable for wallpaper, especially for the book lovers, for a study or desk space.

Hydrangea garden party

For this one I water colour painted and sketched the lady and a number of hyrdangea flowers. I used the sketches to make the lace style background and had to recolour some of my originals to get this lovely palette.

This one is great for romantic dresses to wear to a spring event. It has a cottagecore vibe.

Whimisical Ditsy Baby Elephant

I love designing with children in mind, it allows for a great deal of fun. and whimsy. This one I originally sketched and painted in grey and then recoloured in procreate to get the palette I desired, I particularly like the gold highlights.

Wonderful for nursery and baby apparel.

I acknowledge the Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nations as the traditional custodians of the land on which I live and that sovereignty was never ceded.

I recognise their continuing connection to country and culture and pay respect to elders, past, present and emerging.
